Western Range Wines are a state of the art winery based in the Chittering Valley, approximately 1 hour’s drive from Perth city. Western Range is a James Halliday 5 star rated winery. Built in 2000, our winery has a 2000 tonne capacity and the ability for a maximum crush of 800,000 Litres.
We are part of the appellation of Perth Hills. It’s gently rolling hills form a tranquil backdrop to the myriad of orchards, farms and vineyards that dot the hillsides. Situated up to 300 metres above sea level, the climate and soils of the Chittering Valley are quite different to those of nearby viticulture regions. The climate is typically Mediterranean with cold, wet winters and warm, dry summers.
Our first production was vintage 2001, and in its very first year, produced medal-winning wines. From there our Branded Wines have flourished winning very many Trophies, awards, medals over the past 10 years.
We currently have approximately 315 acres under vine aged anywhere between 20– 70 years old and are grown in the picturesque Chittering Valley. We are an accredited organic producer, which means we can, and do meet all the stringent requirements for International Organic Certification.
